The Intermediate Championship gets underway on Saturday evening, August 5^th with the meeting of Laune Rangers and Kilcummin in Pete Coughlan Park, Beaufort.  Throw in 7pm.

Congratulations to the Laune Rangers squad that won the Mid Kerry Junior League Final last Tuesday evening in Glenbeigh.  Full Time Score:- Laune Rangers 5-15, Beaufort 2-10.

Laune Rangers Senior ladies hosted Dingle in JP O’ Sullivan Park last Monday evening in the final round of group games in the Donal Curtin Cup.  While missing some regulars due to holidays, Laune Rangers settled early and were dominating in most areas of the field with some good scores being kicked by Fodhla Houlihan, Meadhbh Johnston and Ailbhe Clifford.  The midfield pairing of Rachael Evans and Kayleigh McGlashan were dominating so the forwards had a plentiful supply of ball. At the back, Meadhbh O’Sullivan returned to action and she commanded her area very well, assisted by Lucy O’Donnell, Éabha Dolan, Andrea Nolan as well as Sarah O’Connor in goal.  Overall it was a very good performance against a young Dingle team.  With this result, Laune Rangers now qualify for the Semi Finals of the Donal Curtin Cup for 2023.  Laune Rangers: Sarah O’Connor, Milly Foley, Andrea Nolan, Lucy O Donnell, Erin Murphy, Meadhbh O’Sullivan, Éabha Dolan, Kayleigh McGlashan, Rachael Evans, Meadhbh Johnston, Sophia Doherty, Ailbhe Clifford, Sara Leslie, Fodhla Houlihan, Isabella Doherty. Commiserations to the Kerry Senior squad on Sunday’s loss in the All Ireland SFC Final.

Laune Rangers host North Kerry tomorrow (Tuesday) in the County Minor Championship.  Throw in 7pm in JP O’Sullivan Park.

Laune Rangers closed out the round robin phase of the Central Region U15 Division 1 with a home victory against An Ghaeltacht.  Well Done to all.

Laune Rangers and KCYMS Basketball Club have come together for the Killorglin 30K Giveaway.  Laune Rangers’ funds will be focused on developing the Cloon grounds, while the Basketball Club seek to improve facilities for spectators by acquiring tiered seating for games.  Both clubs are looking for the support of the local community.  Tickets €50 can be purchased at the below link.
