Laune Rangers 2-6, West Kerry 0-13
Laune Rangers exited the County Minor Championship on Monday evening with defeat to West Kerry in the Shield Semi Final in John Mitchels complex.
Patryk Radny and Darragh Clifford scored excellent early scores but West Kerry replied with points from Cian McGearailt (free) and Paudie Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald had another point nullified by Darragh Clifford and, after Cian O’Cinnéide and Stephen Gannon traded points, Laune Rangers came closest to the opening goal of the game as Gannon struck the upright and the ball rebounded to safety.
O’Cinnéide (mark) and Cian McGearailt (free) put West Kerry ahead, although Rangers replied well and a Dylan Flynn point was followed by a goal scored by Stephen Gannon. West Kerry pointed through Paudie Fitzgerald to leave a point between the sides at the break.

A pointed free by Darragh Clifford doubled the Laune Rangers lead but two Cian O’Cinnéide frees levelled matters at 1-6 to 0-9 with fifteen minutes to play.
Seánie Diggin struck for Laune Rangers second goal following great work by Matty Spillane and Shane Clifford, but Rangers would score no more. Two O’Cinnéide frees and one from play by Kerry minor goalkeeper James Hoare levelled the game, and Conor Cordubh pointed the winner for West Kerry.
