UNDER 15 BOYS

There were mixed results for the two Laune Rangers Under 15 teams at the Mid Kerry Finals on Sunday in Glenbeigh, as Keel/Listry defeated Laune Rangers Blue in the Mid Kerry A Final to win the Thomas Healy Cup, while Laune Rangers White defeated GGC in the B Shield Final a couple of hours later.  Laune Rangers BLUE took an early lead through a pair of Tomás Joy frees and, after two Keel/Listry frees were cancelled out by Jamie Flynn and John Horgan points, Laune Rangers led by 0-4 to 0-2 with fifteen minutes played.  John Horgan added three points in the second quarter, but Keel/LIstry scored four to leave the minimum between the sides at the break.  Half Time Score:- Laune Rangers 0-7, Keel/Listry 0-6.  Tomás Joy added a pointed free for Laune Rangers early in the second half, but Keel/Listry took control and followed two points (one free) with the only goal of the game to lead by 1-8 to 0-8 with fifteen minutes to play.  However, Laune Rangers fought back, and scored four points in succession through Tomás Joy (free), Adam O’Neill & Aaron Doyle to level matters before Tomás Joy scored a super point to regain the lead.  Keel/Listry soon levelled and added another two afterwards.  Adam O’Neill knocked over another free for Laune Rangers but time would run out to see Keel/Listry edge what was a fantastic game played in wintery conditions.  Full Time Score:- Laune Rangers 0-13, Keel/Listry 1-11.  Laune Rangers Blue:- Adam Radny, Ciarán Birmingham, Aaron Doyle (0-1), Rian Hogan, Patrick O’Donnell (capt), Charlie O’Sullivan, Colm Evans, James Jones, Adam Garry, Tomás Joy (0-5, 3f), Dylan Flynn, Oran O’Sullivan, Jamie Flynn (0-1), John Horgan (0-4), Adam O’Neill (0-2, 1f).  Subs: Liam O’Connell for D Flynn, Daniel Kelly for Birmingham.  In the second game of the day, Laune Rangers WHITE defeated GGC to claim the B Shield.  Full Time Score:- Laune Rangers White 4-11, Glenbeigh/Glencar/Cromane 2-8.  Laune Rangers White:- Luke Carey, Callum Russell (capt), Conor Sheehan, Pat Costello, Charlie Foley, Luke Moriarty, Daniel Kelly, James Jones, Liam O’Connell, Mikey Hynes, Callum Robertson, Conor Murphy, Odhran Foley, Bryan McKenna, Cian McGrath.  Subs: Liam O’Shea, Rian Hogan, Donncha Prendiville, Colm Evans, Jamie Flynn, Maio Harmon.
