Senior Men will their season underway in February with the Development Team first out with a home game to Beaufort in Mid Kerry League on weekending 9th February.  Senior Team will commence the following weekend.  Further fixture information to follow

HEALTHY CLUBS

 Healthy Clubs Committee is busy organising some events for the off-season.

  • Ireland Lights Up Challenge will commence on 8th January and run until 12th February. The goal of this challenge is collectively hit 4,000km and be included in a draw to win a share of €30,000 prize fund. The following steps to join – 1) Download MYLIFE app, 2) Join the Challenge – go to Social > Challenges> My Life Every Step Counts Challenge > your province > find Laune Rangers to join. The club will also be organise some walks as the club has registered with Get Ireland Walking.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Laune Rangers GAA are starting to prepare for next season, if you are interested in interested in volunteering within the Club for the coming year in some capacity.  This may involve helping out at boys/girls academies sessions, becoming part of a coaching team, helping out on match day – stewarding, operating the scoreboard, gate collection; female liaison officer, helping with PR activities, lotto and other fundraisers.

The club will be starting the process of safeguarding and coaching courses for the winter.  These are now a requirement for anyone volunteering with children, once this is completed it is valid for 3 years.

MONTHLY MEETING

Next monthly meeting will take place on Wednesday 5th February 2025 at 8.30pm in the clubhouse at JP O’Sullivan Park.

SCÓR

Scór na nÓg & Scór na bPáistí will be returning.

There are eight disciplines in Scór that cover all aspects of Irish culture: Figure/Céilí Dancing, Solo Singing, Ballad Group, Recitation/Scéalaíocht, Nuachleas/Novelty Act, Instrumental Music, Set Dancing and Table Quiz.

The competion is open to all young people under 17.

If you are not a member for GAA purposes there is social membership also available.
