Laune Rangers White 2-19, St Pats Blennerville 0-4
Laune Rangers Minor Boys White team had an impressive away win against St Pats Blennerville on Thursday evening, thus earning themselves a home Semi Final against the same opposition in Division 6 of the County Leagues.
A heavy mist descended on the Blennerville pitch during the warmup for the game, and didn’t relent for the duration, making for slippery conditions throughout the game.
Rangers led by four after ten minutes as Adam Owens (2, 1 free) and Darragh Evans (2, 1free) scored but from there, they struggled to finish chance after chance in the wet conditions. St Pats scored a brace of their own but Rangers found their accuracy to finish the half. Jack Lynch, Cillian Buckley and John Tuohy pointed before Darragh Evans tapped the ball into the net to leave his team ahead by 8 at the break. St Pats opened the scoring after the break but Laune Rangers took full control in the third quarter – Jack Lynch (2), Adam Owens (2), Cillian Foley and Darragh Evans pointing while Oisín rolled in another goal to see Rangers leading by 2-13 to 0-3 at the second water break.
Jack Lynch (3), Oisín Lynch, Cillian Buckley (free) & David Crowley all added scores in the final quarter as St Pats scored another at the other end. Full Time Score:- St Pats Blennerville 0-4, Laune Rangers 2-19.
