Churchill 2-13, Laune Rangers White 2-11
A bright start had Churchill leading at the first water break by 0-4 to 0-1, with Oisín Lynch getting the visitors’ point, as an early injury to Tom Garry caused a setback to Laune Rangers.
The home side extended their lead with four more as Oisín Lynch & John Tuohy added points for Rangers, before the Laune got back into the game as David Crowley hit the net for a goal. Crowley scored a point to cancel out one for Churchill before the break to see the Tralee Bay side lead by two at the short whistle.

Churchill doubled their lead with a brace of points early in the second half, but David Crowley brought Rangers back to within one with a second goal before Rian O’Sullivan levelled with a great point. Laune Rangers then took the lead as Joe O’Neill slotted a point. However, Churchill responded immediately with a goal to regain the lead and added a couple of points to stretch it. David Crowley pointed to leave three between the sides, 1-13 to 2-7, at the second water break.
A second goal for the home side gave Rangers an uphill battle for the last ten minutes but, credit to the team, they put in a monumental effort. Adam Owens (free), David Crowley (2) and Conor Buckley left two between the sides, while the Churchill goalkeeper was assured enough to deal with a number of dropping balls that may have caused trouble. However, Churchill held on to defeat Rangers White team.
