Laune Rangers 2-10, Kilcummin 4-16
Cloon played host to the first County League fixture for the Laune Rangers Minor Ladies on Friday evening last, and the game was played as 14 a side. Laune Rangers led by the minimum at the short whistle, as points by Éabha Dolan and Laura Leslie were added to five pointed frees by Aoife Cleary who also hit the net for a Rangers goal.
Half Time Score:- Laune Rangers 1-7, Kilcummin 1-6. A switch in goalkeeper released Sara Leslie outfield, who soon struck the net for her team’s second goal. A point by Erin Murphy was followed by a brace by Sara Leslie, but Kilcummin began to dominate and were the stronger team thereafter. Laune Rangers also lost key players in Laura Leslie and Éabha Dolan to injury as Kilcummin pulled away for a comfortable win.
