Laune Rangers Minors travelled to Fr Breen Park, Kenmare to start their County League campaign. With an under-strength side due to several long-term injuries, many of which will be returning in the coming weeks, Laune Rangers met a very strong Kenmare side. Laune Rangers having been on the back foot from the start, kept trying to get a foothold in the game. With a goal chance missed in the first half Kenmare got two fast goals, half time whistle score was 2-5 to 0-5 with Tomás Joy getting 5 points in the first half.
Laune Rangers tried hard in the second half and handful of substitutes were made but they could not break through the Kenmare defence.
