Beaufort 5-11, Laune Rangers 0-1Beaufort had too much firepower for Laune Rangers on Sunday morning as they progressed to the Mid Kerry Senior League Final.
The first half was a story of chances missed rather than taken by Laune Rangers as they went in at the break two points behind, but could easily have held a strong lead with two goal chances as well as multiple points left behind. However, it was Beaufort and Liam Carey who struck for two goals in the half as Beaufort took a 2-3 to 0-7 lead into the pavilion at Half Time.
True to their policy throughout the League, Laune Rangers made changes at the break and throughout the second half. Beaufort continued to cut through the Rangers defence and scored three further goals – Liam Carey completed his hat-trick while Ronan Murphy & Darragh O’Connor added the others. Laune Rangers went on to amass a total of 0-15 but the goals conceded at the back and the chances missed up front – proved costly in the end.
