Laune Rangers 2-9
Laune Rangers opened the scoring with a free from Cian O’Shea. Darragh O’Grady followed with two points from long range and Gavan Mangan then kicked another point from a tight angle. Cian O’Shea then kicked a lovely point after receiving a pass from Seánie Diggin. Darragh Clifford and Morgan O’Sullivan completed the first half scoring for Laune Rangers with a point each to put Laune Rangers ahead – Glenflesk 0-1, Laune Rangers 0-7. Glenflesk worked tirelessly to reduce the deficit and kicked an additional 2 points to finish the first half strong. Both teams had ample opportunity but backs on both sides worked really hard and thwarted majority of attacks and with accuracy also leaving both sides down.

Glenflesk opened the scoring in the second half converting a free, and a point from play. With Laune Rangers’ lead reduced to 2 points and Glenflesk’s defence doing well. Darragh Clifford kicked a point from play with Laune Rangers now doing well winning their own kickouts. Glenflesk’s luck changed and they found the breakthrough that they had been searching for when their corner back found himself in goal scoring position and blasted the ball to back of the net to level the scores. Glenflesk 1-6, Laune Rangers 0-9. Glenflesk continued to push forward and kicked 2 more points to put them in control however Laune Rangers did not throw in the towel and continued to push forward and were rewarded when Seánie Diggin was fouled inside the square. Eddie Walsh awarded a penalty to Laune Rangers. Darragh O’Grady slotted the penalty coolly to the back of the net to put Laune Rangers two points ahead, Glenflesk launched another attack and sent a high ball into the square but the experienced Colm O’Shea positioned him well and rose over friend and foe to claim possession under his own crossbar. From here the Laune Rangers broke down the field worked the ball forward again with Callum Russell getting on the end of a fast-flowing move to find the back of Glenflesk net. Laune Rangers winning by 5 points.
