Laune Rangers travelled to Kilcummin on Monday 22nd July to play Round 2 Corrib Oil Club League.
Sara Leslie opened the scoring with a point from play and the same player followed moments later with a well taken goal. Laune Rangers continued to keep the pressure on the home sides kickout and added another point from Rachael Evans from play. Ailbhe Clifford had shot on goal saved by Kilcummin goalie, but Rangers retained possession and Laura Leslie pointed. Isabella Doherty was the next forward to score with Sara Leslie following with two additional points. Kilcummin having yet to score but they worked ferociously but the Laune Rangers backs were working equally as hard to thwart any attacks. Éabha Dolan won the ball mid field and drove forward to kick a great score after Kilcummin got on the scoreboard having converted a free. However, Sara Leslie won the ball inside and quickly slotted the ball into the back of Kilcummin net. Laune Rangers Laura Leslie and Isabella Doherty kicked a point each from play before short whistle.

Laune Rangers won possession from the throw in and Rachael Evans kicked a point. Ailbhe Clifford fisted Laune Rangers next score over the bar and Rachael Evans working hard kicked another from play. Kilcummin continuously trying hard to create scoring chances drew a free and their full forward converted. Then Kilcummin kicked another point from play. Kayleigh McGlashan won a hop ball, passed to Meadhbh Johnson who then found Ailbhe Clifford who kicked into Sara Leslie who made no mistake in finding the back of the net. A hattrick for Sara! Kilcummin were working tirelessly to get back into the game and their no 8 found the back of the Laune Rangers net. Laune Rangers started running their bench. Kilcummin went on the attack again trying to break through Laune Rangers backs and they took a shot at goal, saved by Sarah O’Connor but the breaking ball was gathered by another Kilcummin player and they slipped the ball into the back of Rangers net. Scoreline now Kilcummin 2-3, Laune Rangers 3-11. Laune Rangers gained possession and had another shot on goal but Kilcummin goalie blocked it and Megan Gamble gathered the rebound and kicked a point. For remaining few minutes, it was all Laune Rangers -Kayleigh McGlashan kicked a point from play and Saoirse O’Shea caught a ball midfield and passed inside to Riadh O’Sullivan who spotted Sara Leslie in near the goals and Sara Leslie struck for her fourth goal of the match. Laune Rangers captain Meadhbh Johnson kicked the final point of the evening for the visitors.
