The senior ladies played their final home game of this year’s Bons Secours Junior A championship on Monday evening, hosting Fossa at home in a game Laune Rangers had to win. Fossa started the brighter, moving the ball quickly and kicking some very good scores, Laune Rangers were chasing the game from the opening whistle, but in fairness they did not let Fossa have it all their own way with sisters Laura and Sara Leslie getting some very good scores.
Half time: Laune Rangers 1-6, Fossa 0-9
In the second half Fossa were on top for long spells but Rangers never left them out of sight, Kayleigh McGlashan, and Sophia Doherty both kicked good points for Rangers but in the end, it was not enough as Fossa ran out deserving winners on a scoreline of Laune Rangers 1-11 to Fossa 0-16.
Laune Rangers now await the other results from the group to see who they will meet in the quarter final.
