Laune Rangers Development Team opened the 2025 season with an impressive win over Beaufort in Cloon on Sunday morning. This being the first game for the senior sides with the new rules being implemented by referee Brendan Twiss. Laune Rangers Development side opened the scoring with a free from Cian O’Shea, the home side kicked a point and Beaufort then opened their scoring with point and free converted, the sides were level. This was the only stage in the game where sides were level. Laune Rangers continued to add scores, and Beaufort tried to get foothold on the game, but first half ended with home side ahead.

The second half continued with Laune Rangers adding a further goal and points to extend their lead, with the home side kicking an impressive 1-12 and defence working hard to keep the Beaufort threat at bay.
