Senior A team travelled to Glenbeigh Sunday afternoon (02/03/2025) to play Glenbeigh/Glencar in Round 3 of Mid Kerry League with a home semi-final for the winning side.

Adrian O’Connor opened the scoring for the home side when he found the back of Laune Rangers net in opening minutes of the game, Laune Rangers responded with a point from Cian O’Shea and goal from John Tyther. That was to be the end of Laune Rangers scoring for the first half, Glenbeigh/Glencar added scores from Colin McGillycuddy & Liam Smith and Colin having a shot at goal which hit the cross bar and Padraig Ahern cleared his line. Caolim Teahan added two points and Glenbeigh/Glencar kicked a two-pointer and Shane Riordan added a final point for first half.

Half time: Glenbeigh/Glencar 1-7 (10), Laune Rangers 1-1 (4)

John Tyther opened the scoring for Laune Rangers for the second half with a point and well taken goal. Laune Rangers with the momentum added another point, then substitute Gearóid Hassett kicked a two-pointer, Rangers going ahead by one. Glenbeigh/Glencar replied with two points, but John Tyther added another point to his afternoons tally. Colin McGillycuddy and James Treacy exchanged points, Laune Rangers pull ahead with Stephen Gannon kicked two points entering last quarter, Gearóid Hassett, John Tyther and Darragh Clifford all kicking points – the visitors ahead by 6 points.  Glenbeigh/Glencar added 2 additional points to their tally, but Laune Rangers were ahead at final whistle. Laune Rangers defence worked extremely hard curbing the supply into Glenbeigh/Glencar forwards.
