Finuge/St Senans 1-08 (11), Laune Rangers 1-13 (16)
The Flexachem Sponsored Senior ladies team travelled to Finuge on Monday night to contest the Division 3 Relegation Play off resulting in the losing team dropping to Division 4 in next seasons Senior Club League. The team travelled without 5 or 6 of our team due to injuries, holidays and work commitments. On the evening there was 16 players available to play and captain Fodhla Houlihan came off after 4 minutes due to a hamstring injury. Laune Rangers started the game brightly, pushing forward at every opportunity, they were playing with a strong breeze and kept the scoreboard ticking over. Laune Rangers went in at half time leading 1-07 to 0-04.
Again Laune Rangers started the second half brightly and kicked the first three points of the half, the breeze had died a little which made their task a bit easier. The backs were on top all through the game and that gave Laune Rangers the platform to control the game.
The win secured Division 3 placing for next year and the win will give the team a platform to push forward in the upcoming County Junior Championship due to commence on August 17th.
