Laune Rangers 0-8, Austin Stacks 2-13
Goals at either end of the game gave Austin Stacks a comfortable win over Laune Rangers in the Keanes Supervalu County Minor Championship in Scartaglen on Thursday evening.
Stacks opened the scoring inside 30 seconds with a point from play and soon had daylight between the sides when Ryan O’Driscoll raised a green flag in the 8th minute. A two‑point strike by Ronan Carroll extended the lead to 1‑3 to 0‑1, and despite wides at either end, further points pushed the Tralee outfit ahead.  Laune Rangers replies from Adam O’Neill (two first‑half points) and Colm Evans left it 1‑7 to 0‑3 at the break.
The Killorglin side rallied after the restart. Tomás Joy converted a free before an Aaron Doyle point followed by scores from substitute Bryan Mc Kenna and Tomás Joy narrowed the gap to four points (1‑9 to 0‑8) by the 50‑minute mark.
Austin Stacks, however, steadied themselves and tagged on a two‑point free by Gavin Casey on 58 minutes before adding another Ronan Carroll two‑point score from play moments later.  Ronan Carroll converted a penalty with the final kick of the game to add decoration to the scoreboard at the final whistle.
