UNDER 16 GIRLS

(Report: Chris Mack) Laune Rangers hosted Kilcummin in Cloon on Wednesday evening, in the opening round of the County Under 16 League.  The weather was cool and overcast, with a very light breeze blowing down the pitch throughout the game. This match was the first game in the county league for both teams, and the players were excited to get their campaigns underway.  Laune Rangers were quick out of the blocks and kept up their intensity throughout the game. They dominated the first half, taking a strong lead into the break.  In the second half, Laune Rangers continued to keep the pressure on, with impressive performances from all their players.  They maintained their lead and ultimately emerged with a comfortable win.  From a Laune Rangers perspective, the entire team put in a huge work rate and showed great skill and determination on the pitch. However, special credit goes to Sarah Patton, who was awarded the Player of the Match title for her outstanding performance throughout the game. Overall, it was a fantastic start to the county league for Laune Rangers, and they will be looking to build on this impressive performance as the season progresses.  Laune Rangers:- Leah Russell, Amie Moriarty, Nicole McCormack, Ellie Memery, Sarah Patton, Jacquelyn Owens, Elmarie Lonergan, Áine Hassett, Megan Gillespie, Sarah O’Brien, Saoirse O’Shea, Niamh O’Sullivan, Emma O’Sullivan, Riadh O’Sullivan; Deirdre O’Sullivan, Meadhbh Brennan,
