Both teams then traded points to leave the score at the quarter 1-02 to 0-03 points. Glenflesk upped their performance significantly in the second quarter and were by far the more clinical in taking their chances.  Laune Rangers played much better in the second half and outscored their hosts 1-03 to 0-05 points to leave the final score 3-10 to 1-8. While the result was disappointing, Laune Rangers  can be very proud of their performance. Final Score:- Glenflesk 3-10 Laune Rangers 1-10.

UNDER 10 GIRLS

Laune Rangers Under 10 girls travelled to Passage West on Saturday last – An early departure in glorious sunshine saw them travel to Passage West GAA in Cork to take part in a fun blitz that had approx 50 other teams from around Ireland take part also. Laune Rangers played 4 different matches against Fermoy Lions, Ahane Cats, Scoil Ui Chonaill and Glanworth. They showed great spirit and camaraderie, they had great fun throughout the day and displayed some great football skills. The coaches strutted their stuff on the dance floor and started to get a bit competitive with each other, but it was John Paul Murphy that came out winner by a mile for his fancy footwork, Mike Frank and Kevin will have to keep practicing for now! Well done to all girls and the coaches.  Special Thanks to Helen O’Sullivan and all in O Sullivans Bakery for supplying fresh buttered rolls and taytos for lunch and also a masssive shoutout to the community in Passage West for welcoming us to a fantastic and very well run day out.
