UNDER 16 GIRLS

Laune Rangers Under 16 Girls defeated Ballymacelligott in the County U16 League.  Despite playing against a strong wind in the first half, the Rangers showcased their skill and determination with a display of efficient, short-passing football.  The Rangers’ tactical approach paid off as they quickly gained the upper hand, securing an early lead. Ballymacelligott, unable to match the Rangers’ intensity and precision, found themselves on the back foot for much of the first half.  As the teams switched sides for the second half, the wind became an ally for the Laune Rangers, who harnessed its power to maintain their lead. Ballymacelligott struggled to adapt, ultimately succumbing to the Rangers’ superior play.  In the end, the Laune Rangers U16 girls emerged victorious, demonstrating their resilience and adaptability in the face of challenging weather conditions. Their impressive performance against Ballymacelligott will undoubtedly serve as a valuable learning experience for both teams as they continue their respective seasons.  A Special shoutout to Aoife Fenton Toms who got player of the match for a great performance scoring 2-04.  Laune Rangers Squad:- Aoife Fenton Toms, Aine Hasett, Nicole McCormack, Kate McGeever, Niamh O’Sullivan, Kate Costello, Riadh O’Sullivan, Jacquelyn Owens, Leah Russell, Elmarie Lonergan, Ellie Memery, Emma O’Sullivan, Sally McGillycuddy, Sarah Patton, Sarah O’Brien, Amie Moriarty, Amy Callan, Saoirse O’Shea
