UNDER 14 GIRLS: A phenomenal second half performance by the Laune Rangers Under 14 Girls Blue team saw them come back from an 18 point deficit at the break to lead the game only for a late goal to ultimately deny them against Kerins O’Rahillys in Pat Healy Park, Ballyrickard on Sunday evening.  Against the breeze, Laune Rangers struggled to get up to the pace of the game in the first half trailed by 4-6 to 0-0 at the break.  However, the second half performance was outstanding.  Aisling Dwyer opened the half with a goal for Rangers, and the visitors continued to chip away at the deficit with point after point.  The defence, led by Jacqueline Owens, cut out a number of attacks while Leah Russell made some great saves to deny the hosts also.  Laune Rangers had managed to score 14 points without reply before Sally Mack struck the net to give her side the lead.  However, Rahilly’s attacked again in injury time and, despite appearing to everyone that the ball had crossed the line out of play for a wide, play continued and the home side put the ball in the net for a go ahead goal.  A disconsolate Rangers outfit conceded one final point before the final whistle was sounded.  Full Time Score:- Kerins O’Rahillys 5-7, Laune Rangers 2-14.  Laune Rangers:- Leah Russell, Kiri McGrath, Jacqueline Owens, Alesha Williams, Sarah Patton, Kate Costello, Amie Moriarty, Niamh O’Sullivan, Saoirse O’Shea, Sally McGillycuddy, Sarah O’Brien, Roisín Lawson, Ummi Shinohara, Aisling Dwyer, Ellie Memery.  Subs: Eimear Murphy, Lucy Kingston, Aoibhín Moloney, Erin Dwyer, Lexie Guilfoyle, Lauren Francis.
