The seniors welcomed Ballydonoghue to Killorglin on Sunday afternoon.  Next week, the team travel to Listowel to play Listowel Emmets on Saturday afternoon at 2pm.  It would be great to see a large crowd travel to support on the day

SENIOR LADIES TEAM

Senior Ladies opened their Bon Secours Junior A Championship campaign on Sunday afternoon in JP O’Sullivan Park with a home game to Ballymacelligott. Ballymacelligott produced a strong second half performance to overcome Laune Rangers and secure victory.

Laune Rangers 1-7 (10), Ballymacelligott 2-13 (19).
The ladies have no game next weekend and the following weekend they play Spa away.

MINOR MEN

 The minor men commenced their minor county championship campaign on Thursday evening against Austin Stacks in Scartaglen.  See Laune Rangers GAA App for match report.

The team will  now play St Brendans District in next Group game on Thursday evening at 7pm in JP O’Sullivan Park

U16 Boys Blue Team play Finuge in JP O’Sullivan Park on Sunday 24th at 6.30pm in County League Division 2 Shield Final.
U16 Girls played Spa on Thursday evening and a very close win secured a place in the semi final of their group next Thursday 21st August at 7pm in Milltown against Milltown/Castlemaine.
Match Report from U16 Game:  U16 Laune Rangers girls travelled to Spa this evening. A very competitive game and the team came away with a 3 point win. Early in the game Erin Dwyer scored goal after penalty was awarded to Ciara Doherty.  Followed by points by both Clodagh Hoare and Ciara Doherty. Megan Quigg scored a goal and another point added by Ruth O’Malley.
Half time: Spa 2-3 (9) Laune Rangers 3-4 (13)
2nd half was very competitive with goals and points added by both teams. Spa pulled ahead by 2 points but thanks to top scorer Aoibhín O’Sullivan, Laune rangers came away with a great win. Great display by all the girls with some great defensive play.
Final score: Spa 6-6 (24), Laune Rangers 7-6(27).

U14 Boys: The White team play Ardfert in JP O’Sullivan Park on Tuesday evening at 7pm. This is Central Regions Divisional Semi Final.
The Blue Team will play on Thursday night awaiting further fixture information.
U13 Boys play in Rose Cup on Saturday.
Outstanding performance by the U13 boys from the Laune today who participated in the Rose Cup, they played some fantastic football. The last game V Na Gaeil was a big victory for the team which should have seen them through to a semi-final spot but it was not to be due to scoring difference by the opposing team Firies.But all in all a great day out for the lads and for the coaches involved they went home delighted to be involved with a fantastic bunch of young lads who gave it there all in every game.

U10 Boys played in a tournament in Fossa on Saturday. A great day was had by all who attended, the team were delighted to meet David and Paudie Clifford.
U8 girls travel to Spa to play in a blitz on Friday evening.
Kerry Development Squads: Congratulations to Laune Rangers players who lined out with their respective Kerry Development Squads – Donnacha Gleeson played with Kerry South U14’s in Offaly.  Eugene Mulligan, Darragh McKenna and Kieran Patton were involved with Kerry U15’s who played Meath in Fethard on Saturday 16th August – Kerry 4-10, Meath 1-17. Conor Murphy and Charlie Foley played with Kerry U16’s who played Cork in Ballyvourney but Cork emerged victorious.
Mid Kerry U16’s – Best of Luck to Laune Players who are involved with Mid Kerry District on Monday 18th – first game in the Cup Competition Mid Kerry is away to Castleisland District.  The Shield Team will commence their competition next week as they have a bye this week.

Puck Fair Thousandaire

Laune Rangers are held their fundraising raffle for Puck Fair, be in with a chance to win €1000 (Top Prize), Draw took place on last day of Puck at 6.30pm.  The winners will be contacted by a club member over coming days.
