UNDER 13 BOYS: Laune Rangers were defeated in Keel on Sunday evening by Keel/Listry in both the Division 1 and Division 9 games.  In Division 1:- Keel/Listry started strongly with two quick goals, and the early gap at the first waterbreak, where Keel/Listry led Laune Rangers by 3-3 to 1-3, proved too far a gap to bridge for Laune Rangers for the remainder of the game.  All of the Laune Rangers team played well, with Luke Carey pulling off some fine saves and dealing with a strong wind in the kickout to a good spread of scores from the forwards to include a fine goal by Odhran Foley.  Rangers did reduce the gap to four points by half time and it was well within their grasp at that stage.   However, Keel/Listry were not to repeat any of the mistakes from the last encounter of these two teams and were particularly strong defensively, limiting Rangers normal top scorers to long range efforts and frees.  By the second water break the gap had widened again to 8 points.  All players gave 100%, but facing a strong breeze and forcing the need for goals only widened the gap.  In the end Keel/Listry were deserving winners.  Final score Keel/Listry 4-7, Laune Rangers Blue 1-8.  Laune Rangers Blue Team:- Luke Carey, Daniel Kelly, Conor Sheehan, Hugh O’Sullivan, Pat Costello, Ciarán Birmingham (0-1), Charlie Foley, Donncha Prendiville, Adam Radny, Tomas Joy (0-3), Colm Evans, Calum Robinson, Liam O’Connell, Jamie Flynn (0-2), Odhran Foley (1-0).  Substitutes Conor West,  Bryan McKenna (0-1).  Division 9:- The younger Laune Rangers White team came up against a bigger team in the home side, as the advantages of having two clubs to pick two teams from was apparent.  While Rangers began brightly with a fantastic Jack Buckley point, the home side stretched out into an early lead.  By Half Time,  Keel/Listry led by 4-3 to 1-4.  The home side improved further with the wind at their backs and pulled away to win on a final score of Keel/Listry 5-9, Laune Rangers White 1-9.  Laune Rangers White:- Fionán Quigg, Fionn McGillicuddy, Luke Cleary, Luke Mcgillicuddy, Noah Eaton, Henry Whittleton, Fionán O’Connor, Cormac Sweeney, Eugene Mulligan, Jack Buckley, Mikey Hynes, Kieran Patton, Darragh McKenna, Liam O’Shea, Darragh O’Sullivan.  Subs: Peter O’Shea, Tommy Foley, Odhran Clifford.
