KERRY

Commiserations to the Kerry Minors on their All Ireland Final loss to Monaghan on Saturday afternoon last, especially to our own Stephen Gannon, who was introduced and scored a point, and squad member Shane Clifford.  Best of Luck to both Kerry Senior teams this Saturday.  The Senior Ladies play Cavan in Austin Stack Park on Saturday afternoon at 12:30pm.  The Senior Men take on Tyrone in Croke Park at 3:45pm on Saturday afternoon.  The game is live on GAA Go and will be shown in our clubhouse for those who are unable to stream it themselves.

DANNY CAHILL RIP

Our club and the Killorglin community were plunged into sadness on Sunday evening when we learned of the passing of our former player and coach Danny Cahill.  Danny captained the Kerry Minors to All Ireland success in 1988, and also represented the county at U21 level in 1991.  Danny won County Senior, Under 21 and two Minor Championships with Laune Rangers.  He also won two Senior and two Minor County Division 1 titles.  Danny began coaching in the LGFA side of our club and in recent years was coaching at inter-county level with the Kerry LGFA underage teams.  We extend our deepest sympathies to Sarah, Lucy, Mattie, Hannah, Mary, Pat, Jerome, extended family, workmates at O’Sullivans Bakery and his many friends including those in the GAA & LGFA communities.  Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
