SENIOR FIXTURES: Laune Rangers two teams in the County Senior Football League are in action this coming weekend.  On Saturday evening, Laune Rangers A team host John Mitchels in Division 2 at 7pm, while the B team host Sneem/Derrynane on Sunday afternoon at 2pm – both games at JP O’Sullivan Park.

KERRY: Congratulations to the Kerry LGFA Seniors who defeated Tipperary in the Munster Championship on Saturday, especially our own Ciara O’Brien who played at corner back.  Congratulations to Kerry on the Munster SFC Semi Final win against Cork on Saturday evening.  Commiserations to the Kerry Under 20s who were defeated by Tyrone on Sunday in the All Ireland Semi Final, especially our own Gearóid Hassett who was introduced in the second half.  John Burke was introduced at Half Time and scored a point in Kerry’s win over Cork in the Munster Minor Championship on Thursday evening.  Well Done to the Kerry LGFA Under 14s who defeated Galway in the All Ireland Semi Final, especially our own Riadh O’Sullivan who was among the substitutes.

UNDER 15 BOYS WHITE: Laune Rangers White team will contest the County Under 15 Division 9 Final, as a strong second half performance saw them defeat their Legion counterparts in Killarney on Wednesday evening.  A closely contested first half saw the sides separated by a single point at the break.  A 8th minute Legion goal gave them the lead by a point, but a Conor West goal for Rangers regained the lead to leave Rangers ahead by 1-4 to 1-3 with fifteen minutes played.  Laune Rangers added a second goal through Rian Hogan but Legion rallied to reduce the deficit to a single point before the break, scoring a penalty late in the half.  Half Time Score:- Killarney Legion 2-6, Laune Rangers White 2-7.  Laune Rangers added points through James Jones (free) & Conor West (2) to increase their lead to four points with a quarter to play, but from there the visitors took over with a blitz of scoring.  Laune Rangers took full control of the tie as Rian Hogan scored his second goal before James Jones dispatched a penalty to the top corner of the net.  Jones & Alex Garry set each other up for more goals as Garry and Odhran Foley added points, while Legion added a brace of points at the other end.  Full Time Score:- Killarney Legion 2-8, Laune Rangers White 6-12.  Laune Rangers White:- Adam Radny, Callum Russell, Luke Moriarty, Brian Foley, Ned O’Grady, Patrick O’Donnell (0-1), Conor Sheehan, Alex Garry (1-1), Rian Hogan (2-2, 1f), Callum Robertson (0-2), Liam O’Connell, Colm O’Shea, Conor West (1-2), James Jones (2-3, 1 pen, 1f), Rhys Mangan.  Subs: Charlie Foley for O’Shea, Odhran Foley (0-1) for Mangan, Luke Carey for Radny, Adam Radny for O’Grady, Colm O’Shea for Hogan.

UNDER 13 BOYS: Laune Rangers finished phase 1 of the County Under 13 League Division 1 on Sunday evening with victory over Spa Killarney in JP O’Sullivan Park.  Laune Rangers flew out of the traps, and led by 1-7 to 0-2 at the midway point of the first half – Kieran Patton with a goal and two points while Cormac Sweeney (2), Odhran Foley, Callum Rorbertson & Mikey Hynes added others.  Kieran Patton and Odhran Foley (3, 1 free) added points for Rangers before the short whistle.  Half Time Score:- Laune Rangers 1-11, Spa Killarney 0-3.  Kieran Patton’s second goal & a point by Daragh O’Sullivan increased the Rangers lead to 2-12 to 0-5 with a quarter to play, but Spa were by no means out of the game as the breeze at their backs picked up.  Mikey Hynes & Kieran Patton scored frees before Spa scored an unanswered 2-6 to leave just three between the teams, but Rangers finished with the final score as Callum Robertson scored the insurance point.  Full Time Score:- Laune Rangers 2-15, Spa Killarney 2-11.  Laune Rangers Blue:- Luke Carey, Noah Eaton, Eugene Mulligan, Fionn McGillycuddy, Donnacha Prendiville, Charlie Foley, Luke McGillicuddy, Mikey Hynes (0-2, 1f), Conor Murphy, Callum Robertson (0-2), Cormac Sweeney (0-2), Daragh O’Sullivan (0-1), Liam O’Shea, Kieran Patton (2-4, 1f), Odhran Foley (0-4, 1f).  Subs: Fionán O’Connor, Peter O’Shea, Henry Whittleton, Darragh McKenna.

UNDER 13 GIRLS: Laune Rangers Under 13 Girls took part in a blitz in Fossa on Saturday morning last, competing against four other clubs including one visiting from Kildare.  A hugely enjoyable morning was had for all.

UNDER 11 BOYS: Laune Rangers are taking part in the Joe O’Connor/Tony Brosnan group of the County Under 11 Go Games this season.  Round 4 took place last Thursday away to Ballymacelligott, and the fiinal round away to Dr Crokes last evening, with great football played and enjoyment had in equal measure!

NURSERY BOYS: Laune Rangers Under 7, Under 9 and Under 11 Boys’ traditional Sunday morning season is underway.  The session for boys born 2011 – 2017 will take place every Sunday morning at 10am in JP O’Sullivan Park.  New players always welcome.

NURSERY GIRLS: Laune Rangers Under 6, Under 8 and Under 10 Girls Wednesday evening season is underway.  The session for girls born 2012 – 2017 will take place every Wednesday evening at 6pm in JP O’Sullivan Park.  New players always welcome.
